Gradually there was less stuff in our counter top compost container. This was mainly because of our changing attitude towards food waste. Many of the things we used to consider waste were back on the menu as food. With a little imaginiation many of the things we're used to composting can be healthy and delicious food. With less compost going out, we were living with our compost contents longer, and that familiar content became a more comfortable part of our counter-top environment. For some reason I started playing around with that content, and sometimes I took photos of it. That's one origin story of the material on this site. People who know me will also know that I have a rare undiagnosed condition that compels me to sort things that don't need to be sorted. Maybe that's all it is. Please enjoy. EF |
